Our Nazarya

We’ve spent years building communities for brands.

Now, we’re building one for people.

Over the last few months, the three of us kept coming back to the same thought.

Why is it that, in a country built on family and togetherness, so many people begin to feel alone as they grow older?

Our parents spent decades building homes, raising families, creating careers, and showing up for everyone around them.

But somewhere along the way, their own social circles became smaller. Their calendars became quieter. Their worlds became limited.

We realised this isn’t a problem that can be solved with another app or another service. It begins with something much simpler. A reason to step out. A familiar face to look forward to. A conversation over chai. A community that says, you still belong here.

That’s why we started Zarya.

The name stands for new beginnings, a quiet reminder that every stage of life can bring something fresh to look forward to. It also echoes nazariya, meaning perspective, because life becomes richer when seen through different eyes and shared with others. At its heart, Zarya is about opening a new path, one shaped by experiences, connection

and the simple joy of seeing life, together.

Our hope is simple: to help make life a little fuller, a little more social, and a lot more enjoyable for the people who have spent so much of their lives showing up for others.

We’re only at the beginning, and we know we’ll learn a lot along the way.

Here’s to new beginnings.
And to growing older, together. ❤️

Fatema Sakerwala

Fatema began as an interior designer,

drawn to the way spaces make people feel. That eye for human experience led her to co-found Eztablish Design - a niche PR and communications agency for India's architecture and lifestyle world and to host The Design FM podcast, interviewing the country's most respected creative voices.

At Zarya, she brings the same craft:

building trust, shaping narratives, and making people feel they've found exactly the right place.

At Zarya, she does exactly that.
